يقول علي رضي الله عنه ..
بعد وفاه الحبيب صلى الله عليه وسلم ..
فمشيت عند ذلك إلي أبي بكر , فبايعته
وتهضت في تلك الأحداث حتى زاغ الباطل وزهق
وكانت كلمة الله هي العليا ولو كره الكافرون
فتولي ابو بكر تلك الامور
فيسر وسدد وقارب واقتصد فصحبته مناصحا
وأطعته فيما أطاع الله ( فيه ) جاهداً
