I'm in a doubt.. In vacuum circuit breakers, the pressure of vacuum is about 6kg/cm^2§ I believe that Nothing is in vacuum( i.e., any gas particles of air) if it is so, how is the vacuum pressurised..? Before that, how is the vacuum is created? (13 years ago)

Phoenix..U might b said in fun. But it is very true. Well, acc. To my thinking, a vaccum is create when all air is removed by external agency. And vaccum circuit breaker is a switch (automatic resume connection) to disconnect elect. Pwr @high voltage. It is vaccum so there is no ionisation and therefore no arc. As u said pressure, i am confused. Hmm...I think the pressure is due to external work (as we need force to keep the connection live in the switch) i think that is the pressure. I also think if u would measure pressure in vaccum, it would be zero and pressure at contact plate would b 6kg/cm^2. Well, i never studied ( as this topic never came in my sylabus, i dnt knw.)  (13 years ago)

Have you seen vacuum bottles? I'm working with it alien.. Its in cylindrical shape of 50cm in height.. It will be consisted with FC and MC. Each bottle will be placed in each Phase..  (13 years ago)
